Who is eligible for the hearing aid benefit?All patient who are enrolled with their qualifying program. We have various program for many insurance companies and private organizations. We also have a program for individuals or clinics who are not currently signed up! Email us at info@bestvaluehearing.org to see how to get a discount even if you are not part of a current discount group! We are happy to find a solution to best fit your organization.

What is the hearing aid benefit?The University of Utah Health program cover $1100.00 per ear every 3 years. This covers the entire cost of each hearing aid and charger. For qualified PEHP and PEHP+ plans, the hearing aids listed below are available at for a significant discount! Tier 1: Oticon More 1R or equivalent: $4700.00/pair (MSRP $7326.00) Tier 2: Oticon More 2R or equivalent: $4100.00/pair (MSRP $6622.00) Tier 3: Oticon More 3R or equivalent: $3500.00/pair (MSRP $5100.00) Tier 4: Oticon Zircon 2R or equivalent: $3000.00/pair (MSRP $4100.00) All other plans or general public, the benefit reduces the cost of hearing aids as shown below: Tier 1: Oticon More 1R or equivalent: $4900.00/pair (MSRP $7326.00) Tier 2: Oticon More 2R or equivalent: $4500.00/pair (MSRP $6622.00) Tier 3: Oticon More 3R or equivalent: $3900.00/pair (MSRP $5100.00) Tier 4: Oticon Zircon 2R or equivalent: $3500.00/pair (MSRP $4100.00)

Which hearing aids are covered?We offer a variety of makes and models: Receiver in canal models: Oticon Ruby 2-R, Signia Styletto 1X Custom model: Starkey Livio 1000 half-shell or full-shell. PEHP and PEHPplus patients are able to get higher levels of hearing aids as well as follows: Platinum: $4300.00 (Oticon More 1 or equal) Gold: $3750.00 (Oticon More 2 or equal) Silver: $3300.00 (Oticon More 3 or equal) Any models not mentioned can be ordered on a case by case basis. What if the patient needs custom earmolds?Custom earmolds are ordered directly through your office not to exceed the following: $99.00 per earmold, $199.00 per custom embedded earmold.

What are the reimbursement rates for the provider?Providers receive an initial fitting fee per hearing aid fit. The provider is then able to receive a fee for up to 10 follow up visits. Please contact our office to get the specific fees for your particular insurance plan.

How are hearing aids ordered?On our main page at the top you can select your health care plan and then order the hearing aids that are eligible on your plan. Which providers are able to utilize the benefit for qualifying patients?Any hearing provider can access this hearing aid benefit, there is no in or out of network. Hearing aids are ordered for through www.bestvaluehearing.org and they will be shipped directly to your office. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@bestvaluehearing.org
